Welcome to Gulley's!

In 1974 with $2 and a pickup truck full of azaleas, Pete & Linda Gulley started growing the family business, Gulley’s Garden Center in downtown Southern Pines. Over the years, Gulley’s has become a staple in the community– a gardening hub with a large variety of plants, shrubs, trees and garden supplies. Gulley’s Garden Center is a true old-fashioned family owned, family run business. Today, Pete’s children, Graham Gulley and Megan Gulley Hunt, now run the garden center with him.

Together, the staff has a lifetime of experience to provide quality, personalized service and lasting customer relationships. Many have been through the Horticulture Program at Sandhills Community College and can assist in selecting the plants, trees, and shrubs that will thrive in the local plant hardiness zone.
Gulley’s Garden Center is not your typical garden store. It’s the perfect place for exploring and sparking ideas for your own garden. Come and stroll along the carefully cultivated outdoor paths at Gulley’s Garden Center and speak to the knowledgeable staff who can answer your questions and help you select the perfect flowers, shrubs and trees.  The Gulley family hopes you will find inspiration from the creative mix of plants, antiques and colorful pots along the way. Gulley’s Garden Center has all the tools and supplies you need to create, and maintain your plants and garden spaces.

Gulley’s Garden Center has grown from a humble family business into Southern Pines’ go‑to destination for lush plants, expert gardening advice, and full‑service floral design. In addition to offering a wide variety of houseplants, shrubs, trees, and garden supplies, Gulley’s is also a local florist, creating custom flower arrangements and cut‑flower bouquets for every occasion, from everyday celebrations to weddings and sympathy tributes, with convenient in‑store pickup and local delivery. Customers can easily browse and order flowers and a few plants online, making it simple to schedule fresh flower delivery or reserve seasonal blooms from this long‑standing, family‑owned garden and florist shop in downtown Southern Pines.
